Guide Insights

I lived in the forests of west Africa for over 2 years gaining a deep understanding of the region. We trekked into the jungle collecting samples of unknown flowers, mushrooms and trees. I learned to track chimpanzees and gorillas, predict forest elephant movements. Navigate rivers by canoe and boat and mimic the calls of Grey Parrots. We helped gather and write information for training safari guides, identifying species and promoting this hidden gem. Through leading hundreds of groups on safaris over this time it was clear – this was undoubtedly one of Africa’s best kept secrets and it was now available to all through luxury safari camps and expert guiding.
